degree in interior design from Sheffield School of Interior Design in New
York City. After participating in over 60 hours of training, earned her
Interior Redesign & Real Estate Staging Certification with JoAnne
Lenart-Wearys One Day Decorating Training Program in Erie, PA.
She is diligent in continuing her education, attending regular workshops
around the country to avail herself and her clients’ to the latest interior redesign & staging applications. Julie is a member of Interior Redesign Industry Specialists (I.R.I.S.), the One Day Decorators Alumni Association (O.D.D.A.A.), The Society of Decorating Professionals (SDP), the Manatee County Association of Realtors (MAR) , and the Manatee County Women's Council of Realtors (WCR) She has met and gained knowledge from noted international designers including Rebecca Cole, co-host of Discovery Channels “Surprise by Design;” Michael Payne, author & former co host of the HGTV show “Designing for the Sexes;” Lee Snijders, Host of the popular HGTV show, “Design on a Dime”, and Joan Kohn, author and host of HGTV hits “Kitchen Design” and “Bed & Bath Design.”
On a personal note, Julie will tell you – her love of interior design began at an early age and her creative gifts have been demonstrated throughout her life. “ I have loved decorating for as long as I can remember. One of my earliest “sparks” was witnessing a neighbors high school project of turning a shoe box into a living room, complete with handmade furniture, draperies and rugs. Fully intrigued, I created my own designer living room in a shoebox during my High School Home Economics class, and the rest is history.” My husband Jorge will tell you – “I never walk into a dark house after a business trip” because Julie will surely have rearranged the furniture again!
