Welcome
Spring 2004 brings exciting changes to TIME TO REDESIGN. We have
opened a new location on Florida's West Coast. April Smith, co-owner of
TIME TO REDESIGN, has relocated to Bradenton, Florida. She will be
offering redesign and decorating services in Manatee, Sarasota &
Hillsborough Counties.
We recently attended the I.R.I.S. (Interior Redesign Industry
Specialists) national convention, held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Interior Redesigners from across the country came together to learn the
latest interior redesign trends. Conference theme "THE ROOTS OF
REDESIGN" revealed how redesign was started. Key Note speaker, Carole
Talbott, author of VISUAL COORDINATIONS, shared her expertise in
the redesign field. Other speakers shared their knowledge of
professional organizing, current color trends, as well as redesign
trends in the real estate market. We are ready to share the newest
trends and our love of interior redesign with you.

DECORATING DILEMMA |
 |
QUESTION:
My family room is too dark. How can I add some light without
having to hire an electrician and spend a lot of money?
ANSWER:
Helping a room to feel "less dark" doesn't always mean adding
expensive sources of lighting. If you don't have a good source of
natural lighting such as a large picture window, there are many ways
to bring more light into your room. Mood lighting is very
inexpensive. Try adding candles, uplights, and small accent lamps in
all the dark corners. Don't forget the ceiling. How about a torchere'
to cast some light in an upward direction. Lamps are available in
every price range, so it's not necessary to spend a fortune on a
table lamp. Don't forget to change out that dark furniture throw to
something lighter, such as a cream color. Consider switching out
your dark area rug to something lighter in color and weight. A light
colored slip color can also help to brighten up a room. Of course,
if your really inspired, you can always paint the walls a lighter
color, which will help reflect the existing light around the room.
Creating a specific mood in your home is best accomplished by your
lighting. So look around and make a few simple changes. Your mood
will be brightened for sure.

Check out our newest redesign photos! See what a dramatic difference
just re-arranging the furntiure makes. When we hear a client say,
"there is no other way to arrange my furniture", our creative juices
start flowing. This is the ultimate challange for us. The rooms
architecture dictates where to start, and from there, everything
falls into place.
Let us redesign that "hard to arrange" room. After just a few
short hours you will return to find a beautiful new room. And yes,
it's still your furniture, but the new arrangement gives your room
an entirely new look and feel.
TIP.... always take before and after photos when you you are
changing your decor. It's fun to look back and see the dramatic
change. We will give you copies of our before and after photos when
your room is complete. Your friends and family will be amazed at the
transformation. Call us today!
